Cartagena is a beautiful place to visit with your children and you can turn the trip into a bit of a family vacation. For the night of the wedding, you may want to consider getting a nanny. The Catholic ceremony is going to be indoors in the air conditioned Church 'Iglesia Santo Toribio de Mogrovejo' The Hindu ceremony is going to take place outdoors, on the rooftop of the Hotel Ermita Cartagena, the perfect spot to enjoy a breathtaking sunset while witnessing a tribute to our Indian cultural heritage.

What to wear for the 'Welcome to Cartagena' event (June 13)

Tropical chic attire for an evening in Cartagena, combines elegance and comfort with a lively, vibrant touch. Think lightweight fabrics like linen, cotton, or flowy silks that keep you cool in the tropical climate. For women, a maxi or midi dress in bright or pastel colors with tropical prints, off-shoulder designs, or light embellishments is ideal. Pair it with strappy sandals or espadrilles, minimal jewelry, and a wide-brimmed hat or a statement clutch for flair. For men, linen pants or tailored shorts with a lightweight button-up shirt in neutral or tropical tones work perfectly. Loafers or boat shoes complete the look, along with casual accessories like a woven hat or a watch.
